The name Cappadocia means “Land of beautiful horses”, so it’s only fitting to explore this spectacular landscape on a native Anatolian or Arabic horse – with a real Turkish Cowboy! We work with a professional ranch located in Göreme, where the horses are well cared-for, fully trained, and treated with respect. The trail guides, the Turkish Cowboys, are local people who know the history and stories of the fascinating rock formations, local orchards, and the traditional vineyards that you will visit.

Cappadocia Horseback Riding Tour
The tour starts with a transfer from your hotel in Cappadocia to the horse ranch at scheduled time.
Depending on the weather and your experience with Horseback riding, your adventure can be through the Rose/Red Valley, Sword Valley, Love Valley and the Honey/White Valley, as these are some of the most breath-taking trails to ride on. They also offer remotely hidden locations that rest far away from the traffic and the crowds.
After the tour, you will reach back to the ranch and from there you will be dropped off at your hotel in Cappadocia.

Know Before You Go
- Not suitable for pregnant women.
- Maximum weight that a horse should carry is 95 kg.
- 2-hour ride can be arranged at any preferred time between 10.00 AM to 3.00 PM.
- If you are interested in riding more or less than 2 hours, check availability for custom tours.
Booking Conditions
- 30% deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance is required in cash on the same day of the tour.
- If you wish to pay the balance by card/bank transfer, there will be an extra 10% fee of the outstanding payment amount.
- Balance payment accepted in EUR, TRY or USD. Payment will be charged at the current exchange rate on the day of payment.
- Free cancellation up to 2 days before date of tour.
- If cancelled with-in 2 days or less prior to tour date full cost of tour will be charged.
- Hotel pick up/drop off included in the area of Avanos, Çavuşin, Göreme, Ortahisar and Uçhisar area hotels. Hotel pick up/drop off to anywhere outside these areas may incur an extra charge.

What if i am a beginner?
85% of our customers have never been on a horse before, so you’re in safe hands with us! We will tell you everything you need to know about what to do and how to ride, and give you a detailed lesson in a safe arena before heading out on the trails. We will be right there with you every step of the way throughout the ride.
Is it safe?
We want you to be informed – Horse Riding in itself can be a dangerous activity, as we are dealing with live animals in an outdoor uncontrolled environment. HOWEVER! We work very hard to make sure these risks are minimized and controlled as much as possible!
Are the horses responsive?
Our horses are trained to listen to and obey their rider, not to plod along out of habit. They have good brakes, and are soft and willing to please their rider. We take great pride in the level of training our horses are up to, and we hope you will too.
Do i get choose my horse?
Generally, no. We match riders with their horses based on a number of things, such as the height, weight and riding experience of the rider – as well as the personality of both the horse and rider.
Can we bring food for the horses?
Absolutely! Their favorite is carrots, but they along love apples and bread. Please, no sugar cubes or liquor ice.
Can we ride on our own without a guide?
No, we do not allow any rides without our guides.

Es el sitio que más barato vimos, volamos por 160€ por persona. Hacen lo mismo que todos, te recogen en el hotel, te dan el desayuno viendo montar los globos, vuelo de 60 minutos y luego te dan champán y un diploma.

I booked an ATV tour online for 2 adults and assumed this meant we'd have 2 ATVS, which was not the case, we only had 1 reserved. Fortunately we were able to arrange a second ATV onsite.
The tour lasted 2 hours and we went through some fields, up to the rim of Love Valley and ended in a nice spot to catch the sunset. My partner put it succinctly when he said "ATVs are a cancer to this place" which is absolutely true. Cappadocia is completely overrun by tourists on ATVs (had I known this before, I would not have booked the tour) which is really unfortunate. The sunset spot was overcrowded with vendors and tourists taking selfies, all while inhaling the fumes of burning plastic and exhaust. The guys leading our tour were not friendly nor did they share any information about the region or areas we traveled through. They did however seem to enjoy showing off their ATV handling skills by riding around the rock formations at full blast, sometimes carrying young women along for a 'wild ride'. When we weren't trying to avoid serious injury by getting hit by an ATV guide, we were watching out for the jeep tours plowing full speed across the rock formations.
I'm sure many people enjoy these tours, but I wouldn't recommend them if you're interested in learning about the region and you care about how your tourism is impacting the places you visit.
