Istanbul to Cappadocia is 760 Km. Travel time from Istanbul to Cappadocia is about an hour by plane.
Compared to many other popular traveller destinations across the world, Cappadocia remains an incredibly safe place, including for solo female travellers.
Yes, but the more the merrier.
Without a doubt, it is worth a trip to Cappadocia. The place is like no-where else on earth. Main attractions to see include the Göreme cave churches, and the underground cities but part of the fun is staying in an authentic cave hotel.
The best time to visit Cappadocia is from March to June or September to November when the crowds are thinner and the weather is milder. June to August is the peak season so it can get crowded, and it can get bitterly cold during the winter months from November to late February.
Recommended staying between 2 to 4 days in Cappadocia. In two days you can explore the area around Göreme going on a couple of walks, a hot air balloon ride, visiting the churches, staying in a Cave Hotel and having a great time.
